We have begun on a very busy first term in P4! We are getting used to staying until 3pm each day and are getting to know our new teachers and friends very well.
In literacy this term, we are focusing on phonics for spelling, recount and procedural writing and building on our already fabulous reading and comprehension skills.
In numeracy and mathematics, we are exploring numbers to 1,000, adding and subtracting within 100 and exploring shape, telling the time and measuring capacity.
Our topic is Food, Glorious Food! We will be exploring where food comes from, food in our local area and how to eat a healthy diet as well as cooking, backing and tasting some delicious food!
We will also be beginning to prepare for our First Holy Communion through the new Grow In Love scheme in RE.
