Christmas Giving Tree in St.Patricks

Christmas is just around the corner and St. Patrick’s Christmas tree will brighten our entrance from next week.  

Last year, in the spirit of Christmas, we decided to make our Christmas tree a giving tree. It worked so well and so many local children benefited from the generosity of our school community that we have decided to do the same this year. 

This means as well as decorations, there will be gift tags attached to our tree. Each tag will contain the details of a child in our local community who is in need this Christmas.  The idea is that our pupils and their family, who want to take part, choose a tag from the tree and buy the child on the tag a gift for Christmas.  The gift can be left unwrapped or put in a gift bag, but please reattach the gift tag.  Your child/children can even write their name on the tag if they wish.

The gifts collected by St. Patrick’s P7s will then be distributed locally by volunteers of St Vincent De Paul, who also distribute St. Patrick’s PTA hampers, and know our local community needs very well.

We are lucky to have such a lovely school and pupils and we hope the St. Patrick’s Giving Tree will be a great success again this year and help with the true spirit of Christmas.
