Coding for Kids Glossary - Learning goes Global
I received a super email today about our home learning links from California today!
Good Morning,
I hope this email finds you well and will maybe brighten your a day a bit! My name is Marie and aside from being a nurse and volunteering part-time for my sister's K-12 resource center, I am a mom to my awesome 10-year-old son, Evan.
Evan loves learning and usually continues to go online and learn throughout the summer about new topics that interested him from the previous school year. He usually tells me what he is interested in, and when I do have free time, I like to find him some articles or web pages to look through. Over the summer, Evan was very interested in all things computers and software programming/coding. He is fascinated with the topic and I was so happy to see him doing his own research and learning more about it. I was doing some research of my own and I came across the St Patrick's Primary School's home learning links page, ( http://www.stpatrickspsholywood.com/parents/home-learning-links ). I wanted to reach out to thank you because Evan absolutely loved the coding resources on this page and I am so glad to have found it!
Evan is still doing some of his own research, and came to me the other day with a kids glossary of software programming and coding terms. It also has some great outside resources, at the bottom, for learning about software programming and coding (such as games and worksheets). Evan knew that I was sending this email and he wanted me to share this glossary with you because he thinks it would be another great coding/programming resource to add on to the home learning links page, and I definitely agree!

Please feel free to email me back with your thoughts. And if you do happen to share this glossary on the home learning links page, would you mind letting me know? I would love to show Evan that sharing resourceful information can be appreciated and may benefit others :)
Thank you again and have a wonderful week, Marie
