Down and Bredagh footballers Orla and Laoise Duffy returned to St Patrick’s Holywood to present the current crop of Gaelic players with their Belfast Cumann na mBunscoil league trophies. The girls encouraged the pupils to work hard and enjoy being part of a team. They acknowledged the great work being done at St Paul’s GAC in providing Gaelic football for the boys and girls teams. They were happy to talk about their early football experiences playing for the school team.
Trophies in the photos are All Ireland and Ulster LGFA Junior Championships, All Ireland and Ulster U16 Silver Champions and the Belfast girls division 3 trophy and boys division 4 trophy. An unique combination of trophies associated with St Patrick’s in 2023.
Congratulations to Mr Sherlock and our Gaelic teams on all their success so far this year and a big thank you to Orla and Laoise for calling in to visit us.
