Change to the planned February half –term holiday.
Dear Parents & Carers,
The Covid situation in school has deteriorated rapidly in the past few days. Almost 40% of pupils have been off school due to Covid related illness, are isolating or positive Covid cases in their household. A number of staff are unavailable due to also testing positive for Covid. We have been able to maintain face to face teaching but this has been extremely difficult to ensure that staff are available.
The Senior Leaders and Staff have agreed; it would be in everyone's interest to bring forward our planned half term break to Monday 14th through to Friday 18th February. This will enable the Covid situation to be hopefully brought under some level of control, in the school and break the cycle of infections.
By bringing three days forward, it will mean we can leave all other planned holidays in place in term three.
I appreciate that some families may have booked a family break around 21- 23rd February, I would encourage you not to change your plans.
