Its been such a busy few days for pupils and staff , in such lovely weather...
On the 2nd June, Year 6's had a fabulous morning programming Lego robots at St Malachy’s College Creative and Expressive Digital hub. Thank you to the Year 8 boys and Mrs McGrath for the experience.
On the 6th June, Mr Sherlock led the Year 6's on their expedition up the Cavehill and finished up in the wonderful Play Park.
During the week, P4, P4/5 & P5 visited the Bay Tree to interview William, as part of their topic on Food. William treated everyone to a Hot Chocolate - how lovely. They then had visitors from Lidl who did a presentation on the importance of healthy eating and presented the children with a goodie bag of fruit & veg.
On Thursday 8th, Mrs MC Sorley led the P7s in their amazing music recital. We had very special guests, who left St.Patricks in 1969 including Fergus Cooper, Dr. Mark Browne, Sheila Adams, Stephen Walker & Sheila Bones. They toured the school and reminiseced about their happy experiences in St.Patricks (Video to follow of the recital)
Meanwhile, 30 X P5 and P6 children enjoyed a great afternoon of football in McNamee Park with their friends from Glencraig IPS and St.Comgalls PS, as part of St.Pauls GAC - Home - School Links programme. Thanks to Ryan Hughes and Gavin Halpin for organising.
Finally, those really busy, P4, P4/5 & P5's celebrated the Sacrament of First Communion on Saturday 10th, with Fr.Stephen, their families and staff in a packed St.Colmcilles Church, in glorious weather. Congratulations to all the children who made their First Communion and thank you to all their friends in P5 who sang in the choir. We are so proud of you all.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making this all happen so smoothly for our amazing pupils, school community and parish.
