Outdoor Classroom Day and Sunflower Planting
22nd May 2024
Tomorrow is Outdoor Classroom Day and we will be celebrating by doing some of our lessons outside. We have been developing our Outdoor Learning Curriculum this year and the children have really enjoyed getting to learn in our outdoor spaces.
Each of the KS1/KS2 classes have been spending time planting this week and Foundation stage will get their turn next week. Each child has planted a sunflower seed and can take it home to grow. Ards and North Down Council are running a Tallest Sunflower competition this summer. Entries close on the 1st September and measurements need to be taken on the last week of August. The winner will receive £60 voucher and runners up will be £30.
