Re Start update

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer holidays.

Minister Weir's announcement.

The Education Minister announced his plan to have a full return to school, from week beginning 31st August. This announcement, although not unexpected, did not have the relevant guidance information to go alongside it, for all schools.

The Staff and Governors are awaiting this guidance information from DENI, this will be released later this week - possibly on Thursday 13th.

The school management and staff will work on these plans from the 17th August , ensuring risks are assessed and appropriate plans made.

There will be a BOG meeting  on Friday 21st, to finalise and sign off the schools reopening plans for w/b 31st August. These plans will ensure all health and safety and risk assessments are in place, to meet the needs of all the pupils and staff.

Plans for w/b 17th & 24th Aug remain as they are, starting times for P7s will be issued on 17th August.

There will be an update of the schools return to school plans, after the BOG meeting on 21st..
