The summer holidays are almost gone...and off to school we go..
Dear Parents, Boys & Girls,
The summer holidays are almost gone...and we are ready for school re opening. I hope you all have had a super summer holiday. The teachers and staff have all been busy preparing for school to restart on Friday. We have some changes to the staff and their responsibilities and these will be outlined in September's newsletter.
Restart notes
School restarts for P2 - P7 pupils on Friday 30th at 8:45am, there is no breakfast club and no school dinners on Friday. Please provide a snack and packed lunch, but normal service will be available on Monday 2nd (including Kidz Club @2pm).
Lining up @8:45 ( see attached plan)
Our school community continues to grow and we have some new pupils joining us and I am sure we will make them all very welcome. As the school community grows or school yard remains the same, therefore, no ball games are permitted in the school yard before or after school.
Pupil Mobile Devices
There has been quite a bit of media content about the negative impact of Smart Phones on young people, recently and traditionally, a mobile phone was something that ONLY our P7 pupils aspired to for Christmas and could take to school on a Friday only. It has been noted that children in P4, P5 and P6 have brought phones into school. We would discourage any mobile device coming into school for pupils.
Reminder-Pupil Mobile Devices- Mobile phones, Smart Apple Watches or similar devices are not permitted to be used in school at any time. Pupils who may need to take a device to school must leave it (turned off) at the school office and collect after school.
We are looking forward to seeing all, tomorrow.
