On 28th September the school orchestra visited the Ulster Hall in Belfast to attend the BBC Radio 3 recording of their invitation concert 'Rivalry, Pearls and Demons'. We enjoyed the thrill of seeing the orchestra on stage and hearing a selection of exciting music. Although many of the pupils had been to Ulster Orchestra schools concerts before, this was a different type of experience, being aimed to an adult audience. We all enjoyed the concert and loved it when one of the double bass players came to see us after the concert was over, along with violist Richard Hadwen, well known to the school as a parent of two of our pupils.
What a great afternoon out! We're all looking forward to the next visit to a concert and send a big 'thank you' to our friends at the Ulster Orchestra and Ulster Hall!
